Benjamin and Lora Wood travelled often to Quebec and named their subdivision for Louis de Buade de Frontenac, the New France governor. Frontenac Estates was 26 lots of two acres each. The city incorporated in 1947 on 217 acres and annexed another 967 the following year. Lots are still mostly an acre apiece and the design code still pushes French architecture.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
