Fort Holabird trained the Army's spies for twenty six years
1918
Dundalk, Maryland
The post opened in 1918 as the Army's first motor transport depot and training centre, teaching soldiers to keep trucks running in France. Its second life began on 15 October 1945, when the Counter Intelligence Corps School moved in and made this corner of southeast Baltimore the centre of Army counterintelligence training, interrogation instruction and records for the next quarter century. The last class graduated on 2 September 1971 and the school moved to Fort Huachuca. The fort closed in 1973 and the ground is now an industrial park.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
