Three east to west streets running from Hamilton across to Woodward, filled in during the boom that the Ford and Chrysler plants set off a few blocks away. The houses are Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival and stand a clear step above the workers' cottages nearer the factories. The district went on the National Register in 1988, the same year as its counterpart east of Woodward.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
