Dallas Baptist University moves an 1898 college onto these hills
1965
Dallas, Texas
The school opened in Decatur in 1898 and reorganised as a two year institution, the basis of a long standing claim to have been the first junior college in Texas. In 1965 it moved about sixty miles south to these wooded hills above Mountain Creek and took the name Dallas Baptist College. It became a university in 1985 and now looks out over the lake country on the southwest edge of the city.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
