Claxton, fruitcake capital

Two bakeries in a town of a few thousand turn out millions of pounds of fruitcake a year, which is why Claxton calls itself the fruitcake capital of the world and has the water tower to prove it. The recipe came with an Italian immigrant baker in 1910 and the mail-order boom after the war did the rest. The town leans into the joke and ships to all fifty states anyway.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
