Choate House stands 215 years, then comes down for townhouses
1810
Randallstown, Maryland

This two and a half storey stone house was built at Randallstown in 1810 and picked up a full length porch, dormers and Italianate detail in the 1880s. It was listed on the National Register in 1989, but its owners kept it off the Baltimore County landmark list on the grounds that landmarked buildings are harder to sell. A developer demolished it in March 2025 while building 242 townhouses on the twelve acre parcel.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
