Bronx Science, the high school with more physics Nobels than any other
1938
Bronx High School of Science, Kingsbridge Heights, Bronx, New York
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
The city opened Bronx Science in 1938 as a boys' school for mathematics and science, and entry has always come down to one examination. More of its graduates have gone on to win the Nobel Prize in physics than those of any other secondary school in the world. It stands in Kingsbridge Heights, on the Jerome Park side of the borough, and now pushes the humanities as hard as the sciences.
