Bergamot Station turns a Red Car rail yard into a gallery complex
1994

From 1875 to 1953 this was a stop and rail car storage yard, first for the steam powered Los Angeles and Independence Railroad and later for the Pacific Electric's Santa Monica Air Line. The name comes from wild bergamot, a flower that grew on the site. The city owned lot reopened on 17 September 1994 as a campus of private galleries in the old sheds.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
