Bayport is built because Barbours Cut ran out of room

The container terminal a few miles up the bay shore at Barbours Cut had no space left to expand, so the Port of Houston built a second one here on its own dredged channel off Galveston Bay. It sits between La Porte and Seabrook, alongside the petrochemical berths that share the same water.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
