An Art Deco savings bank with carved doors and painted walls
1931
Cambridge, Massachusetts

The mutual bank, founded in 1854, built this Cambridge Street headquarters in 1931 to a design by T. M. James, with a triple arched front echoed by three round-arch windows down the side. Paul Fjelde carved the sculpture and Alfred Rasmussen painted the murals inside. It is one of the few Art Deco buildings in Cambridge and is on the National Register.
