The SkyLift runs up Crockett Mountain out of the top of the Gatlinburg strip, a 1950s chairlift that now carries people to the SkyBridge and the deck at the summit. There is no skiing anywhere near it. On one trip up, the lift stopped with a couple sitting on the chair directly in front of the camera and everybody stuck in the air with nothing to do but wait, and the person filming got the whole thing. The lift starts again, the camera goes up at the sky, and the shouting that follows is the reason it travelled. The copies going round now come through accounts that credit the person who shot it and nothing else, so the day it happened is not recorded anywhere.
