The Fairfax County courthouse in northern Virginia, where Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation over an opinion piece she wrote for the Washington Post. It was filed here rather than in California because the Post's servers sit in Fairfax County, which is how a jurisdictional technicality decided where the most watched trial of the decade would be held. It ran from April to June 2022 and was televised gavel to gavel. The few seconds that outlived the verdict came during cross examination, when Heard's lawyer put it to Depp that he had poured himself a mega pint of red wine, and Depp stopped to ask him what a mega pint was.
