A single day cruise of classic and muscle cars along a 16 mile stretch of Woodward Avenue through nine Oakland County communities. It began in 1995 to commemorate the avenue's cruising culture and now draws over a million spectators. The 2026 cruise is set for August 15.

  A two storey commercial block put up on South Main Street in 1925, when Royal Oak was turning from a farm village into a streetcar suburb and needed shopfronts fast.

  A Labor Day weekend festival that fills downtown Royal Oak with roughly 200 live music acts, an outdoor art fair, and food from dozens of metro Detroit restaurants.
