Sultana Downrigging Festival brings a fleet of tall ships into Chestertown Marina for a self-styled Tall Ships and Bluegrass weekend, the only festival of its kind. Ships open for tours and dockside music runs the length of the marina as the fleet lowers its rigging for winter. It has grown since the early 2000s into one of the largest annual gatherings of traditional sailing vessels in the United States.
