Somerville ArtBeat fills Davis Square with more than seventy craft vendors, food trucks, and two stages of music, dance, and theater each July. The Somerville Arts Council has run the free festival since the late 1980s as the city's flagship outdoor arts festival, with a different curatorial theme chosen each year. It typically extends into the evening with music in nearby Seven Hills Park.
