Two days after every general election the county gathers in Georgetown, the results are read from the courthouse balcony by the town crier, winners and losers ride the same carriage, and the party chairmen bury a hatchet in a box of sand from Lewes.
A harvest-weekend festival built around Delaware's own scrapple, held downtown since 1992.
