Uptown Oakland's Telegraph Avenue turns into an open-air art walk on the first Friday of every month, grown from the mid-2000s Art Murmur gallery crawl into a festival drawing up to 20,000 people through more than 30 galleries. The Kono Community Business District has produced it as a monthly series since 2011.
