The Lowell Folk Festival has filled Downtown Lowell National Historical Park with free traditional music, dance, crafts, and ethnic food every summer since 1990, after three years as the touring National Folk Festival's Lowell stop. Multiple outdoor stages run performances from Friday evening through Sunday. It remains one of the largest free folk festivals in the United States.
