Country Thunder Wisconsin has anchored Shadow Hill Ranch in Twin Lakes since 1996, drawing tens of thousands of campers for four days of national country headliners each July. It is the flagship of the Country Thunder festival chain in the upper Midwest.

Illinois ran one basketball tournament for every school in the state regardless of size, and in 1952 a high school in Hebron with ninety-eight pupils in it won the thing, beating Quincy 64-59 in overtime.
