Chicano Park Day marks the anniversary of the 1970 community takeover that turned a freeway underpass in Barrio Logan into a park covered in murals. The all day celebration under Interstate 5 and the Coronado Bridge features Aztec dance, lowrider cars, and live music honoring Chicano civil rights history. It has been held annually since 1970 and draws visitors to the park's National Historic Landmark murals.
