Barrio Logan occupies the ground under the bridge

A freeway and a bridge had already cut Barrio Logan in half when residents learned the promised park was to be a highway patrol station instead. They occupied the ground under the bridge for twelve days and won it. The bridge pillars now carry the largest collection of outdoor murals in the country.
