The Stingaree, where Wyatt Earp ran gambling halls
1885
San Diego, California
Downtown's waterfront block of saloons, opium dens and gambling halls, named for the stingrays in the bay on the theory that both would sting you. Wyatt Earp ran three gambling halls here for seven years, a longer stretch than he spent in Tombstone.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
