Twain and Stowe as neighbours

Twain built a nineteen-room house with a steamboat-deck porch and wrote Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and A Connecticut Yankee in it. Harriet Beecher Stowe lived next door. He lost the house to bad investments in a typesetting machine and never lived in it again.
