Tuttle Farm, worked by one family for 380 years

John Tuttle sailed from England in 1632 and started farming here, and his descendants kept at it for eleven generations and about 380 years, which is the basis for the claim that this was the oldest continuously family owned farm in America. Supermarkets and pick your own competitors finally ended it: the family listed the 135 acres in the summer of 2010 at 3.35 million dollars and sold for a little over one million. The land is still farmed and the red barn store is still open, under the name Tendercrop, so what closed in 2010 was the family's run rather than the farm.
