Arizona State opened this 14,198 seat hall in the spring of 1974 as the University Activity Center, at a cost of eight million dollars, and students shortened the name to the You-Ack. It holds the men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball, and has taken graduations and touring concerts since. The corporate names came later.
