Long Beach, California
Summum · CC BY-SA 2.5 · Wikimedia Commons
Cal State Long Beach needed a basketball arena and in 1994 got a blue pyramid 18 storeys tall, visible from the freeway and from the air on the approach to LAX. It seats about 4,000 for basketball and volleyball. It is one of only a handful of true pyramid buildings in the country.
