Universal put its red and white Glamor Trams into service on 15 July 1964, running visitors past working sets and promising a look at rushes from the films and television shows then in production. The tour ran five times a day on weekdays and took a little over two hours. Paid tours of the lot went back to the silent era, but the trams made the studio a permanent attraction, and the rides, stunt shows and shops grew up around the route.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
