Downtown Mesa keeps the only natural history museum in the Phoenix metro area, opened as the Mesa Southwest Museum and renamed later. Its centrepiece is Dinosaur Mountain, a three storey indoor cliff of casts and skeletons with a flash flood that runs on a timer. The exhibits cover the Southwest from its dinosaurs through its Hohokam and territorial history.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
