The night the tornado took Barneveld
1984
Barneveld, Iowa County, Wisconsin

At 12:41 in the morning on 8 June 1984 an F5 tornado nearly a half mile wide went through this village while it slept. There had been a watch, but almost nobody knew anything was coming until the lightning and the thunder arrived together. The storm that made it was throwing two hundred strikes a minute, one of the brightest displays ever recorded. The village rebuilt straight away, and by 2000 there were about twice as many people living here as on the night it was flattened.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
