The National Memorial Arch at Valley Forge
1917
National Memorial Arch, Valley Forge National Historical Park, Pennsylvania

Work on the arch began in 1914 and it was dedicated in 1917, built in the Roman triumphal form and set on the high ground inside the park. It commemorates the arrival of Washington and the Continental Army at Valley Forge in December 1777 rather than any battle, because no battle was fought here. It is the largest monument in the park and the one most visitors photograph.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
