The Los Angeles Live Steamers and their miniature railroad
1956

Live steam hobbyists founded this nonprofit in 1956 to run scale locomotives and teach railroad history to the public. Members operate a seven and a half inch gauge railway through a corner of Griffith Park and open it on Sundays. Gasoline and battery powered models joined the fleet over the years, but the name has never changed.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
