Merrill Butler designed this concrete arch viaduct for the county and it opened in February 1929, carrying traffic over the Los Angeles River between Glendale and Silver Lake. Walt and Roy Disney were running their studio half a mile up Hyperion Avenue while it was being poured. Disney Imagineers built a scaled down copy of it at Disney California Adventure in 2012, so the monorail now crosses a small version of a bridge the Disneys used to drive over. A fight over whether to keep the pedestrian walkway on the real one ran through 2014 and 2015.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
