The Lemon Ice King of Corona
1944
52-02 108th Street, Corona, Queens

Nicola Benfaremo began selling Italian ices out of a Corona garage in 1944, and his son Peter opened the storefront on the corner of the park in time for the 1964 World's Fair. There is no dairy in any of the forty odd flavours, no seating, and a long-standing house rule against mixing two flavours in one cup. The shop turns up in the opening credits of The King of Queens.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
