The Lehner cider mill on Penn Street in Verona
1896
Verona, Pennsylvania
Charles Lehner and his wife Mary Magdalene Huber came from Austria to Pittsburgh's North Side and then out to Verona, where he built this grain and cider mill and started it running in 1896. Lehner died in 1908 and his son Joseph kept it going until his own death in 1920, after which the family had to sell. A preservation and archaeology firm bought the mill in the 1990s, and it went on the National Register in 1996.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
