The Kerr Memorial Museum keeps a doctor's house set in 1905
1897
Oakmont, Pennsylvania
Dr. Thomas Kerr built this Queen Anne house on Fourth Street in 1897 with his consulting office in a separate building out the back. His daughter Virginia taught English in the Oakmont schools for forty two years, never married, and left the house to the borough when she died in 1994. It is open as a museum furnished to show how an upper middle class family lived here between 1900 and 1910.
