The Joliet Public Library is firebombed
1989
Ottawa Street, Joliet, Illinois
On the night of 19 April 1989 a man threw a rock and two Molotov cocktails through the windows of Joliet's 1903 Daniel Burnham library. The fire gutted the children's non-fiction collection and shut the building for nine days. He confessed the same night and was later found not guilty by reason of insanity.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
