The Hooper-Lee-Nichols House, second oldest in Cambridge
1685
Cambridge, Massachusetts

Built in 1685 and rebuilt so many times that its frame reads like a stack of centuries, the house at 159 Brattle Street is the oldest in Cambridge but one. Brattle Street was Tory Row, the line of estates whose Loyalist owners cleared out when the siege of Boston began. The building is now the headquarters of History Cambridge, which grew out of the old Cambridge Historical Society.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
