The Greek opened in the early 1930s on the south side of Griffith Park, with a stage and seating bowl modelled on ancient Greek amphitheatres. Samuel Tilden Norton and Frederick Hastings Wallis designed it with the Tacoma firm of Heath, Gove and Bell. The city still owns it and it has run as a concert venue ever since.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
