John J. Harden spent $150,000 on this terracotta hall under a multicoloured tile roof, and it opened on 20 June 1930 to give farmers one place to sell and get their parked wagons off the streets. At its peak it held 145 grower stalls and 30 permanent shops. The market closed in 1941 and the building has passed between other businesses ever since.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
