The Doggie Diner head is landmarked
1966
Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco

A chain of hot dog stands topped each roof with a seven-foot dachshund head in a chef's hat and bow tie. The chain died in 1986. One head survived, was knocked over by wind, was restored by public subscription, and is now an official San Francisco landmark, the only municipal landmark in the city that is a dog's head on a pole.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
