The Colgate clock
1924
Clarksville, Indiana
Indiana Landmarks · CC BY 4.0 · Wikimedia Commons
One of the largest clocks in the world, forty feet across, put up in red on the roof of a soap factory across the river so all of Louisville could read the time by it. The factory, once a state prison, then a Colgate plant for eighty years, is closed, but the clock was saved and still keeps time over the Ohio, a piece of advertising that outlived everything it was built to sell.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
