The Climax, a locomotive built to go where track was bad

Logging railroads were laid fast and badly on ground too steep for an ordinary locomotive, so Corry built one with its cylinders angled and its power geared to all four wheels, which would crawl up grades and around curves that would derail anything else. Around a thousand went out of here to the woods of forty states and a dozen countries. They were slow, and being slow was the point.
