The Claremont Hotel straddles the Berkeley and Oakland city line
1915
Berkeley, California
The white timber resort at the mouth of Claremont Canyon opened in 1915, and its central tower of about 160 feet is one of the tallest wooden building structures anywhere. The Berkeley and Oakland boundary runs straight through the grounds, along the old Key System railway right of way that is now a path between the tennis courts. Which city you are standing in depends on which court you are on.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
