Work started on this Woodward Avenue church in 1905, when it was only meant to be a parish. Detroit's diocese was raised to an archdiocese in 1923 and the half built church was handed the job of cathedral. It was dedicated in 1930, but the towers and the front of the building were not finished until 1951, the year it was finally consecrated.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
