Boulder County rented a string of poorhouses from 1875 before buying this 120 acre farm and turning it into the county poor farm and hospital. From 1902 to 1918 it held long term care for people the county classed as indigent, on land they were expected to work. Many of the farm buildings survive, including a Queen Anne main house, and the site went on the National Register in 2011.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
