The Betsy Ross Bridge, the first major highway bridge named for a woman
1976
Pennsauken, New Jersey

Built between 1969 and 1974 and opened in the bicentennial year, this steel truss crossing was going to be called the Delair Bridge after the railroad span beside it. It was named for the Philadelphia flagmaker instead, making it the first large highway bridge anywhere named after a woman. Its New Jersey end is in the Delair section of Pennsauken.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
