A city park in Beckley is built over a worked-out seam, and visitors ride a man car into it with a retired miner driving and narrating, which is the difference between this and a museum. The temperature stays in the fifties year round. A company house, a superintendent's house and a one-room school were moved in above ground to show what the whole arrangement looked like.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
