The Battle of Kolb's Farm
1864
Cobb County, Georgia
On 22 June 1864 John Bell Hood decided the Union corps in front of him were vulnerable and attacked without orders. Hooker's and Schofield's men were well placed and shot the assault apart, and Hood took serious losses for nothing. The 1836 farmhouse the fight is named for still stands inside the battlefield park.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
