The Aquatorium, a 1921 bathhouse that now honours the Tuskegee Airmen

George Washington Maher designed this lakefront bathhouse at Miller Beach in 1921, and for decades it was where the whole neighbourhood changed and showered before swimming. It fell derelict, then reopened as a museum of flight honouring the Tuskegee Airmen and Octave Chanute, who tested gliders in the dunes just outside. It was listed on the National Register in 1994.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
