Taille de Noyer grows from a fur trading cabin into a 22 room house
1800
Florissant, Missouri
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
It began around 1800 as a two room log cabin used as a fur trading post, then was enlarged by the Mullanphy and Chambers families until it held 22 rooms. The house stands on what is now the grounds of McCluer High School and is kept as a museum by the Florissant Valley Historical Society. It is among the oldest surviving houses in Missouri.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
